WorldShare takes the security of the personal data we hold very seriously. We want both supporters and beneficiaries to feel confident that we handle details such as names and addresses, and details of our mutual financial transactions, very carefully. This enhances the respect which is intrinsic to our partnership together in this ministry.
We only retain data which, so far as we can ascertain, is accurate and up-to-date, and which is required of us by law or necessary to help us provide relevant services to our supporters and beneficiaries. The law gives you the right to see data we hold about you, on request, with appropriate notice and on payment of a small fee.
Data which is kept on paper or in electronic form is well secured. It does not leave our offices exept for authorised purposes.
Policies are in place to ensure that only authorised people see the personal data of supporters or beneficiaries. Any data which is no longer need is destroyed.
We take particular care of data relating to children or vulnerable adults. Relevant staff are subject to appropriate CRB and other checks.
We willingly add new potential supporters to our mailing list. We will remove anyone from our lists immediately on their request. We never sell our mailing lists or other details of supporters or beneficiaries to any third party. We never buy mailing lists of potential supporters.
