All of our work is undertaken on the basis of certain fundamental principles. The first is our faith in Christ. We are specifically a Christian organisation, though we do many things which good secular charities also do. We are not an aid agency, though we also do many things which aid agencies do.
WorldShare's first priority is to honour the Lord Jesus Christ by sharing the Good News of the Christian Gospel, and by sharing the compassion of Christ with a needy world.
We respect other religions, and fully accept that they have positive features, but we believe that through Jesus Christ is the only true way to know God and please Him.
WorldShare works exclusively through churches and other Christian bodies in places of need, because we believe that those Christian organisations can be (and should be) the agents of positive transformation in their communities.
We work for spiritual as well as physical change, because we believe that a person is one whole living being, spirit as well as body, and that only by reaching the whole person can they be truly changed and able to help others to change. We believe that people need to be changed before they can change the circumstances in which they live.
