Pray with and for the children of the world throughout March!
Burma Political change continues to happen in this country. Pray for greater freedom and security for Christians. Pray for Word of Hope Orphanage and Hope Bible College. Pray for Pastor Suanza Pau as he bears a huge weight of responsibility.
Haiti Pray for the need for funds for the wages of teachers at the schools at Picmy and Grand Lagon. Around £2000 is needed each month to ensure these schools are able to stay open. At the moment income is barely sufficient. Pray for more supporters for this need.
South Africa Pray for the developing project to provide new science teaching facilities at Grace School and a new library. Give thanks for an excellent report received recently from a consultant who visited Grace on our behalf. Pray for the plans for improving teacher training.
South Africa Grace School faces a growing problem in retaining teachers. They are much sought-after by government schools which can offer social benefits which Grace cannot afford to match. Pray for much more income for staff salaries, so that we can enable teachers to stay at Grace.
Albania Pray for the work in schools in Albania. Our partners teach, amongst other things, simple personal hygiene. This is already improving community health in the villages. Pray for more opportunities.
Mali Give thanks that a recent appeal for Elijah House has seen an encouraging response and will enable us to send additional support there. Unrest in Mali has caused much fear and has damaged the important tourist trade. Some of this unrest has been directed against Christians. Pray for the safety of all God’s people there.
India Give thanks for our partners who are rescuing girls from the sex trade in Calcutta and rehabilitating them. Many of these poor young women have been sold by their parents in India or Nepal. Pray for our partners as they work to help families have more secure incomes and so not need to sell their daughters. Pray for the safety of the rescued girls and those who are helping them.
