  • Web: do you have skills in writing for publication on the Internet or have experience in designing or constructing websites? Our in-house web team would be very pleased to hear from you. We are in particular need of help in the 'back end' development of our Internet presence.

  • Bulk Mailings: 3 times a year, we send out our Window magazine, the last issue of which also contains our Gift of Hope catalogue. If you fancy a couple of days helping us to prepare our bulk mailings - a great time to get to know new people or catch up with old friends whilst stuffing envelopes, please get in touch. Occasionally, as the need arises, we also send out bulok mailings for emergency appeals like the Haiti or Japan Earthquakes, Pakistan Floods or currently, the Horn of Africa Famine Crisis.

  • Research: Have you written a thesis or dissertation? Have you undertaken tons of research from your A levels? You could help us by putting these research skills to use for us in a variety of ways, from investigating the impact of water shortages in central Africa, to the rise of militant Hinduism in India and the oppression of Christians in the Middle East. Such research will enable us to serve our ministry partners better, by understanding the wider picture and well as their particular needs.

  • Writing: we are looking at ways of diversifying the way we share information among our audience. Do you have particular skills in writing for children, teenagers or young adults? If so, we would love to hear from you.

  • Design: do you have experience in the field of graphic design? May be you studied Art or Design at A level and never had the opportunity to apply the skills you gained? Any help you could give us in producing eye-catching and engaging publicity material would be most appreciated.

  • Strategy: our board of directors comprises a medical doctor, an international development consultant, a clergyman, a lecturer in theology, a language teacher, a solicitor and a finance expert. We are always looking for highly skilled and experienced individuals, from a variety of fields to join our governing body. The board typically meets 4 to 5 times a year, assessing progress towards strategic goals, planning and also providing support and guidance to our staff team.

If you have skills, abilities and time to offer, please call us on 01302 775209 or email us at info@worldshare.org.uk .
