Gift of Hope - frequently asked questions

"Will my gift be used for the purpose described?"

Yes. For example, if you order G302, a family in Myanmar (Burma) will receive a mosquito net.

If for whatever reason your Gift of Hope cannot be used as described (eg, a project can no longer be carried out locally), WorldShare will inform you, and we will offer you the opportunity to direct your gift to another Gift of Hope, or to be refunded.

"Can you send the Gift Card direct to my family / friend?"

No. If you select to receive Gift Card by Post (as an alternative to downloading the Gift Card during online check-out), we will post it to you, not to your family / friend.

Sending the Gift Card to you means that you can complete the greetings message inside, before giving it to them.

There could also be data protection issues surrounding your submitting other peoples' addresses to WorldShare without their permission.

"Who administers Gift of Hope funds?"

Your Gift of Hope donation is received and processed by WorldShare in the usual way, and then accumulated monies for each Gift of Hope are forwarded to the relevant local partner ministry for them to implement the project.
