Children with no clothes to wear. A house with only two walls. Fishing in the river, hoping to catch enough for the day’s meal. It was the best one Cambodian family could afford.
That was eight years ago. Then the local church came with the gift of a cow from their cow bank. With careful attention and breeding, the cow multiplied from one to eight.
Two cows were returned to the church animal bank and given out to families in need. Two cows were sold for a profit. The other cows are cared for in the barn, an open structure set on top of a hill to protect from the yearly flooding!
