One of the immediate ways our partners helped was by assisting 70 students to finish their school exams. Their books had been burned in the attacks, and they only possessed the clothes they were wearing when they fled their homes.
Your gifts provided funds for books, clothes, two tutors to coach them for their exams, and travel fees to the exam centre located nine miles away.
One student reflected on his experience. “I thought that these were the last days of our lives,” he said. “At that time I had given up all hope, but now my faith in Christ is renewed.”
