Minibus for Burma orphanage

Suggested gift - £10,000

Orphans cared for at a home near the main city in Burma (Myanmar) were among the neediest children of an already troubled country when devastating Cyclone Nargis tore through Burma in May 2008, killing over 70,000 people. All the orphans survived but their home was badly damaged. Funds from WorldShare helped rebuild the orphanage, and Gift of Hope is providing orphans with food and water.

To attend school, or worship at church in the city centre, the orphans must walk, sometimes for hours. Your gift of a new minibus made and purchased in Burma will transport the children in safety when they need to make longer journeys.
