Following our Lord's command, some of our ministry partners in the Middle East made twenty visits to prisons in the region during the course of 2011, visiting 300 inmates.
"We were able to provide counselling, persional care items like warm pyjamas, toiletries, underwear and chocolates," says our ministry partner.
"When our team arrived at one prison, L-, an inmate, came to us excitedly saying, 'God has heard my prayer!'
"This inmate had been given the death penalty due to a traffic accident and a serious fight afterward. This was reduced to a life sentence.
"We hope that with prayers and good conduct on his part, his sentence will be reduced even more.
"One week after this declaration, he worked hard on a permit to allow him to meet with other inmates for prayer."
