Training & supporting handicapped & orphaned children*

This project started five years ago when Balkans Wholistic Development Team (BWDT) were able to start providing help twice per week to children staying at the Government orphanage in Korça city. Among these children is a great need both for physical and spiritual care, and for education in general.

Up to 15 children of various ages engage in training topics ranging from Bible stories (evangelism and spiritual growth), to good hygiene and learning to read and write. They engage in activities including museum and cinema visits, picnics and restaurants, cooking together and doing handicrafts.

"The main goal is to bring these children into the Kingdom of God and make possible their integration in our society," says Dr. Patriot Hoxhaj. "We also seek to raise awareness in our society about the importance of treating this category of people with respect and compassion."

£3,700 will fund this entire programme for one year.
