WorldShare moves to Robin Hood AirportAfter 19 years at Bawtry Hall, WorldShare is on the move - just five miles along the road to a business centre at Robin Hood Airport near Doncaster. WorldShare moved from London in 1991. Bawtry Hall has been a safe and comfortable environment which has contributed greatly to our growth. Now, after months of prayer and planning, it's time for WorldShare to transfer to a fast-moving business environment where we can continue to develop. We will be keeping the Air Force link. From the former Bomber Command HQ at Bawtry Hall, we will be moving onto the site of RAF Finningley, formerly home to Britain's iconic fleet of Vulcan bombers. The site was bought by the Peel Group, which also owns Liverpool and Teesside airports, and has major interests in many other transport facilities, hotels, retail and business properties. The flight facilities have been transformed into a first-rate and rapidly-growing regional airport (Doncaster Sheffield Robin Hood Airport). This has a growing number of scheduled and charter flights to a wide range of mainly-European destinations; but with one of the longest runways in the UK, it has great potential for the development of long haul services. WorldShare's new offices are in the former RAF training centre which offers an excellent environment and first-class facilities. It is shared by a number of small companies. Good news - we have been able to arrange these new facilities without any increase in costs! We will notice one big difference of course - from a community of Christian charities to secular business premises. Please pray for us as we seek to reflect Christ in our new surroundings. And the Robin Hood connection? Well, giving to the poor is our business, though we hope our donors - rich or otherwise - will give voluntarily and generously ! We will be based in our new offices from the week beginning Monday 19th July, 2010. After that date, all mail should be addressed to:- Or to the following new Freepost address (no stamp required):- (Please note that this is all you need to write on the envelope, using capital letters for WORLDSHARE as shown.) WorldShare's main telephone number is also changing, to (01302) 775209. Other telephone numbers, including our donation and sponsorship lines, will be confirmed and published on this website shortly. |
