Hundreds of homeless children, aged 5-15, roam the streets each day begging for food. Some of them come from broken homes, or homes where the father has no work and the family has no income.
These children have no opportunity to go to school, and so no opportunity for any improvement in their lives.
Now, our partners are providing school classes for many such children. They learn basic skills in a Christian ethos – skills which will enable them eventually to find work, and sustain themselves and their families.
We urgently need to raise funds for desks, chairs and other equipment, so that more children can be offered places on this programme.
