There are 80 million Muslims in the Uttar Pradesh and Bihar belt who need to hear about the love of Jesus. Most of them are semi-educated or uneducated.

Cooperative Outreach of India is in constant touch with people who are serving Muslims. "We see that this type of contextualized training changes people's ability to minister effectively to Muslims," says Ramesh Landge, COI ministry leader.

"We constantly come across Muslims who have questions about different faiths and who want to study about truth in other religions."

Thus, there is a constant need to send out new workers. The goal of this project is to train a group of 140 Muslim-background believers every year at COI's Discipleship Training School.

After completing the training, the workers are sent out to share the Gospel among unreached Muslims. COI stays in touch with the trainees to evaluate their success. WorldShare would like to provide partial support for these the trainees (£50 each).
