A significant percentage of Arab church members are women. Even so, Christian women in the Arab world often feel isolated, extremely outnumbered, and alone in their efforts to witness to their relatives and neighbours.
To meet this need, AWEMA brings Christian women together for mutual encouragement and fellowship as well as training in practical and spiritual issues.
A special focus in recent years has been on training and discipleship of young women who face a variety of unique challenges from singlehood in a strongly marriage-cantered culture to marriages where Christian women are married to Muslim husbands.
This specialized training is especially important in the Muslim world where women’s ministry must be done woman-to-woman. Gifts to this project will allow 400 women to attend a conference
