Despite Sri Lanka's brutal 25-year civil war, the Alliance grew significantly. Today, NCEASL is reporting an 'upsurge of spiritual life and vision' among believers. WorldShare is coming alongside the Alliance to support its church-planting and training initiatives.
Since its inception the Alliance has grown significantly and today consists of organizations representing more than 200,000 evangelical Christians throughout the country.
When Sri Lanka's civil war finally ended in 2009, WorldShare’s appeal to assist families displaced by the violent end to the conflict generated further essential help which was channelled through NCEASL.
From mid-2005, a team of 50 ministry workers enabled NCEASL to strengthen Sri Lanka's evangelical churches alongside long-term relief and development.
